Alan Greenberg is a seasoned investor, developer and manager of residential real estate, with a passion for incorporating technology and sustainability into his developments. Through Streamliner Properties, he is currently overseeing the rezoning of 6 properties in the Greater Toronto Area.

For almost 30 years, Alan held progressively senior positions with the Minto Group of Companies, a second-generation Greenberg family real estate business. He finished his operational career as President and COO of MintoUrban Communities Inc., which focused on high rise condominium development and residential rentals in Toronto and Ottawa, Canada. Under his leadership, Minto became an industry leader in urban design, one of the leading green residential developers in North America and a leading residential rental property manager in Canada. Over his career at Minto, Alan was actively involved in the successful creation of thousands of rental apartments as well as high rise condos and several low rise single family home communities.

Alan is the co-founder and Chairman of GreenSoil Investments, a venture capital firm that invests in companies that enable smart and efficient utilization of resources in two distinct verticals including real estate and agriculture/food technology. GreenSoil has 4 early growth companies in its food/ag tech portfolio and 16 early growth companies in its PropTech portfolio.

Alan co-founded Your Music Memory, a world class, unique, iconic, rock ‘n roll memorabilia collection focusing on the art of the album cover.

Believing strongly in building strong communities, Alan has volunteered for many philanthropic and industry organizations, and is a Director on the Board of Inagene Diagnostics (Canada). He holds a Bachelor of Commerce & Economics from the University of Toronto.

Alan Greenberg

Chief Executive Officer

Michael is Executive Vice-President of Minett Capital Inc. He oversees and manages a diverse range of investments and shareholder assets, including private equity funds, real estate assets together with a real estate development business, and a portfolio of investments across a range of sectors. Michael is also President of G2G Capital Management, an active investor family office. Prior to his current role, Michael founded a consulting business focusing on strategy, growth initiatives, and performance improvement in the asset management and investor services sectors; his clients included large management consulting firms in both North America and Europe.

Michael has also held senior leadership roles in several financial institutions. He has acted as Global Head, Strategy and Transformation, of RBC Investor and Treasury Services; Senior Vice-President, Strategic Initiatives, at RBC; and Head of Strategy and Corporate Services and Head of Reinsurance during the formation of RBC Insurance. Before these, he was Vice-President, Corporate Planning, Quality, and Development for MetLife in Canada. Michael began his career as a lawyer in private practice in Ottawa, where he focused on corporate-commercial law.

Michael was called to the Bar of Ontario in 1986. He holds a BA (Hons.), MA, and LLB from Queen’s University at Kingston, Ontario.

Michael Wilson

Executive Vice President and General Counsel

Barry is an accomplished finance executive with over 25 years of experience in the commercial real estate industry. Barry joined Minett Capital Inc. in 2019 as Chief Investment Officer and Chief Financial Officer.

Prior to joining Minett, Barry spent 12 years at Altus Group. At Altus, in his position as Executive Vice President, Mergers and Acquisitions, Barry oversaw the company’s mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures on a global scale. He was responsible for assessing and pursuing opportunities, leading due diligence and negotiations, and implementing integration strategies.  During his time at Altus Barry completed more than 50 transactions having an aggregated value in excess of $500M. Barry also oversaw Altus Group’s global office lease portfolio and was actively involved in corporate development, strategic initiatives, and corporate finance.

Before Altus, Barry served as Chief Financial Officer of Greenwin Property Management, one of Canada’s largest privately-owned residential property management companies, where he was part of the team responsible for the formation of the Residential Equities Real Estate Investment Trust, one of Canada’s first multi-family REITs.

Barry worked as a senior manager at Ernst & Young, a leading global accounting firm.

Barry has obtained the Chartered Professional Accountant, Chartered Accountant designation in Canada as well as a CPA (Illinois) designation and holds a Bachelor of Commerce & Economics from the University of Toronto.

Barry is on the Board of Directors of Jewish Family & Child Service.

Barry Eisen

Chief Financial Officer and Chief Investment Officer, Real Estate

Gideon has a 20+ year proven track record in venturing, corporate venturing, corporate development, M&A and corporate strategy. Gideon co-founded GreenSoil Investments with Alan, in 2012, has lead the investments in GreenSoil’s ag & food tech portfolio and is a Managing Partner in GreenSoil Ag & Food Tech and in Greensoil Proptech Ventures.

Gideon is a director in the boards of ElectrIQ, Cybeats, Tipa, CropX, Phenome Networks, Inagene Diagnostics and Salient Medical Solutions.

Before co-founding GreenSoil, Gideon founded and managed GMS Capital, a boutique investment bank. At GMS Capital, Gideon worked with several companies on their global business development strategy, helped companies raise funds and managed several mergers and acquisitions for European, American and Israeli companies.

Before GMS Capital, Gideon was responsible for all global merger and acquisition activities for a major division of Royal Philips Electronics. While acting as Senior Director of Corporate Mergers & Acquisitions, Gideon managed deals valued at over $1.5B. At Philips, Gideon also served as Director of Corporate Strategy & Venturing, with overall responsibility for all deal flow management, due diligence, deal negotiations, and portfolio management in Israel.

Prior to joining Philips, Gideon held senior positions at Shaldor and Ergo, both leading strategic management consulting firms in Israel and served as a project manager at MATI, the Centre for Entrepreneurship Development. Gideon holds a B.A. in Economics from the Hebrew University, Jerusalem, and an M.A. in Business Administration from the Boston University / Ben-Gurion University of the Negev. He immigrated to Israel from the Netherlands in 1990 and moved to Toronto in July 2019.

Gideon Soesman

Chief Investment Officer, Venture Capital

With over 40 years of experience in urban development and construction, Chris brings a tremendous amount of knowledge and guidance to his role as Chief Development Officer of Minett Capital Inc. and President, Streamliner Properties. Having been directly or indirectly responsible for delivering over 30,000 homes over the course of his career, Chris is a leader in the understanding and execution of real estate development, construction management and business evaluation.

Chris spent the majority of his career with the Minto Group of Companies as the Senior Vice President of Minto Urban Communities, responsible for strategic planning and the delivery of over 1,000 homes and apartments per year in urban areas of the City of Toronto. In 1991, he led a team through the complex multi-government approval process for a new NHL arena for the Ottawa Senators and managed a joint venture partnership with IBM Canada that balanced a 900 home new non-traditional subdivision and public recreation space with a regional park and preservation of nearby Carolinian forest.

Since joining Minett in 2015, Chris has been responsible for such major projects as advising the development on the Halifax waterfront and re-development of the Halifax YMCA/CBC lands into a new YMCA recreational facility and residential and retail complex and a number of developments contributing to the revitalization of Yonge & Eglinton, a landmark corner in the centre of Toronto.

Chris has also served as Advisor to the Chairman of City Club Apartments directing and leading the development of residential investment properties throughout the American mid-west.

He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Geography from Carleton University.

Chris Sherriff-Scott

Executive Vice President and Chief Development Officer

As an early leader in incorporating green planning into real estate, Daniel brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to his role as Executive Vice President, Development and Sustainability with Streamliner Properties at Minett Capital Inc. With over 35 years of experience in suburban development, urban development and construction management, Daniel has been directly or indirectly responsible for delivering over 35,000 homes and over 3 million square feet of office, retail and warehouse space. His work has taken him across North America and includes projects such as The Prince Arthur, an architectural landmark in Toronto, 150 Roehampton, one of the first multi-residential buildings to achieve LEED Canada Gold certification, and Massey Tower.

Daniel spent the majority of his career with the Minto Group Inc., where he served as Vice-President of Construction and later as Senior Vice-President Toronto Division, where he was responsible for driving the strategic direction and growth of the business. As a key part of that strategy, Daniel helped facilitate the creation and implementation of a number of green plans in an industry that was only beginning to recognize the importance of sustainable development. Being able to combining luxurious downtown living with innovative approaches such as rainwater harvesting systems, motion sensor LED lighting, individual hot and cold-water meters and Heat Recovery Ventilator (HRV) fan coils to improve air quality. Ultimately this initiative resulted in LEED Gold Certification and LEED Silver Certification on seven Minto projects, some of which were the first of their kind in North America.

More recently, Daniel spent three years as the Senior Vice President for Tucker HiRise, a Residential Construction Management Company, that specializes in the use of innovative technology to deliver 10–12 projects annually, as well as many other projects in the pre-construction phase, ranging in value from $50M to over $200M.

Daniel has a degree in Architectural Technology from Algonquin College.

Daniel Belanger

Executive Vice President, Development and Sustainability

An experienced and dedicated finance professional, Maria leads the finance team at Minett Capital Inc.. She has worked in the real estate industry for over 25 years in various senior positions, including Chief Accounting Officer of CAPREIT. She is a adept at combining the roles of finance with operations and has a depth of experience in financial and public reporting, business operations, and systems implementation. As a key member of the senior executive team, she contributed to the development and execution of strategic plans to integrate mergers, complete property and portfolio due diligence and acquisitions and, support new operations on a global scale.

Maria is a Chartered Professional Accountant, Certified Management Accountant. Maria serves as Vice President for Lung Cancer Canada.

Maria Amaral

Vice President, Accounting

Sayla Nordin heads Investor Relations at Minett Capital Inc. and is a resourceful communications and stakeholder relations executive with extensive experience in both the public and private sectors.

Most recently, Sayla was Chief of Staff within the Ontario Government responsible for protecting and promoting the economic development of Ontario’s natural resources. She brings a unique understanding of the shared contributions of business and government to more productive public policy.

Prior to that, Sayla spent 10 years successfully growing the investor relations department at Altus Group, a commercial real estate company, helping manage the transition from income trust to a corporation and evolution from a professional services to a global data-driven business through over 50 acquisitions. She also enhanced the company brand through the realignment of the business offerings, relaunch of the company website and development of the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility program.

Sayla’s commitment to careful planning and execution was honed as an Operations Advisor in the Office of the Prime Minister of Canada where she led a diverse team including protocol, logistics and security to effectively create and deliver complex, high-profile events.

She holds a Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Manitoba.

Vice President, Investor Relations

Nadia is an experienced executive with over 30 years of work in accounting and specifically the real estate industry. Prior to her current role, Nadia held the position of Vice President of Accounting at CAPREIT, overseeing property accounting & corporate accounting. She was involved in Acquisitions & Dispositions for CAPREIT, IRES REIT and Netherlands Portfolio. Over the years she has been actively involved in the set-up and conversion of accounting systems to help support a company’s ongoing growth.

Nadia Georgis is CPA, CMA and holds a Bachelor of Commerce and Economics from the University of Toronto.

Nick has ten years of experience in public accounting. He has conducted audit engagements for small to large private, public sector and not-for-profit entities, as well as public companies. Prior to joining Minett Capital Inc., Nick worked as a Designated Professional in the Public Companies audit group at MNP LLP. Before that, he spent three years in Brisbane, Australia as a Senior Auditor with KPMG.

Nick is a CPA, qualifying as a CA in 2013. He earned his MMPA degree from the University of Toronto in 2010, and his Honours Bachelor of Science, also from the University of Toronto, in 2008.

Nick Wong

Fan is an accredited financial modeler with years of experience in financial service. Before joining Minett Capital Inc., Fan worked at Ontario’s largest credit union helping small businesses finance their future growth.

Fan holds a Masters of Finance from Smith School of Business at Queen’s University and a Bachelor of Commerce degree with specialization in economics and finance from the University of Guelph. He is also a Chartered Financial Modeler and a CFA Charterholder.

Since joining Minett Capital Inc. four years ago, Chris has been instrumental in providing organizational support to operations under both the Minett corporate silo and the family office, primarily in his expertise as a paralegal and analyst.

Previously, Chris worked at the Royal Bank of Canada in a variety of roles over the course of 5 years with the strategic sourcing team, the credit advisory group and the business services centre divisions. He holds a paralegal license with the Law Society of Ontario, an undergraduate degree from Dalhousie University and a certificate in alternative dispute resolution from York University.

Elham is a General Accountant who has worked in the real state industry for more than five years in Toronto.

She has BSc in Applied Mathematics and is a CPA student. She handles a full range of responsibilities to ensure transparency, accuracy, and fiscal accountability. Elham performs Account Receivables function, reconciling accounts, processing payroll, managing general ledgers, and assisting month-end closing activities.

Maggie Chin-Sang is a CPA, CGA with over 25 years accounting and finance experience within the real estate sector.  Previously, she held various senior management roles at CAPREIT, including VP, Business Process Improvements, where she contributed to a successful multi-year ERP implementation.

Maggie brings her unique combination of business process management, project and accounting skills to Minett Capital as a Project Analyst within the Accounting team, facilitating the efficient, accurate and timely delivery of projects and financial information.
