Welcome to our “new team”! This summer we welcomed two hives to our rooftop and look forward to some Midtown Toronto honey soon!
- Earlier this summer, two hives went up on the lower rooftop of our building and have been humming since.
- They are homes to tens of thousands of bees who have been producing honey that will be harvested soon.
- The honey produced by each hive is unique as bees forage from the flora located within a 5km radius of their colony.
- A bee must collect nectar from about 2 million flowers to make 1 pound of honey. Bees fly more than once around the world to gather a pound of honey.
